Ewha Womans University is one of the most prestigious universities in Korea. As Korea’s first educational institute for women, it was founded in 1886 by Mary F. Scranton, an American missionary of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Over the last 123 years, Ewha has been a pioneer in the Korean education field. It has made remarkable developments throughout the years to become the largest women’s university in the world.
